2016 is shaping up to be a pretty good year for video games. There are a ton of hot anticipated titles coming out in the next few months, but the first big release, ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ has already dropped. I have yet to play it, but I hear its better than the 2013 revamp, and I really enjoyed that one, so I imagine this one will more than satisfy. ‘XCOM2’, as well as ‘Unravel’, and the latest non-mainstream Assassin’s Creed game have released as well; good for them, but ‘Firewatch’ has been on my immediate short-list ever since it’s E3 debut, so lets get to it. FYI: Spoilers ahead…
Fresh off the presses from studio DONTNOD, “Life Is Strange” is a 5-part episodic visual drama that follows protagonist Max Caulfield, as she discovers that… life. is. strange.

(12-5-2014-12:20am) Bleary-Eyed, I struggle to contain myself as the files navigate from their repository to my computer; zipping through miles of wires, slowly layering bit upon bit of compressed container until, despite my slow internet connection, The Near Future by I Fight Dragons download finally completes, a mere double click away, and a staggering week ahead of the public release. This is the album that I had eagerly backed on Kickstarter nearly 1.5 years ago. This is the album that raised $115,000 of it’s $20,000 goal; ~575% funded. This is the album that saw Bill leave. This is the album that almost ended I Fight Dragons. My relationship with this album was love/hate… until I listened to it. This is now my favorite IFD album.
If you aren’t a fan of I Fight Dragons, then you probably shouldn’t be here. TLDR; buy this album. Read more →

Usenet is one of those technologies that has survived through the ages, originating in the 70’s, due to it’s intended legitimate uses and partial obscurity. In true Fight Club style the saying among users is the first rule of Usenet is WE DON’T TALK ABOUT USENET! EP is certainly breaking that rule right now, but we are doing so intending to bring new users to the fantastic service; so please, Council of Usenet Elders, don’t cancel our accounts! Read more →
The elephant in the room is that MG is a big fan of the Mass Effect series. It may (or may not) be true that he once had a cardboard cutout of Commander Shepard… In the S5E03 episode of the Experience Points Radio Show, MG said he was replaying the Mass Effect series, having finished Mass Effect and mostly finished Mass Effect 2. Over the weekend, he completed ME2 started Mass Effect 3. Before he started though, he downloaded and installed some HD textures and lighting mods. Check out the video below for the results!
